Servicing
The pictures below demonstrate why we only do full strip down services, most engineers will say that manufacturers only require a full strip down service every 5 ears. This is correct, but components fail, boilers break down, and without stripping the boiler down you just can not see these problems before a breakdown occurs. All the examples below were from boilers that customers were paying for an annual service. Unfortunately this is all too common.
Oil Tank Primary Filter.
Apparently replaced 11 months previously....
Worcester Gas Boiler Baffle.
This takes years to happen, clearly not checked on any service....
Oil Boiler Baffle.
This oil boiler had been serviced 10 months previous, by the same person every year since installation. We went to it as a breakdown, this was one of many issues through not servicing properly. Customer fully unaware.
Baxi Electrodes warped.
Very common issue, but can not be checked unless you strip it down. Another fine example....
Worcester Electrode Set & Burner Seal.
Same boiler as the baffle, again, paying for a full annual service....
Another Condensate Trap.
Emptied every year....
